I worked with a restaurant chain that does over 800 million dollars in yearly revenue.  When I started with them they asked how the internet works. They had a very high bounce rate because on the multiple US locations they had there were none of their social media channels on their local pages.  This caused clients and visitors to leave the site and go to 3rd party sites for their information on the reviews and traffic.

We also found that many of their local directories were not consistent so some of their restaurants were open and it would say that they were closed. This information had to be updated so that people would show up to the restaurant in the middle of the day vs. going to another restaurant.
